EMTEPH is formerly known as NEC TOKIN Electronics (Philippines) Inc. in 2002 and NEC Components Philippines, Inc. in 1996. On April 14, 2017, the Electromechanical Devices Division of NEC TOKIN Corporation in Japan carved out and started to operate under its new business name EM DEVICES CORPORATION.
